GIRLS ROCK & GIRLS RULE

Revolutionary Records launched Girls Rock & Girls Rule in NYC in December 2002 to support Independent Music and serve as a forum to showcase girls who truly know how to rock!

GRGR is moving into its 7th year and continues to grow and expand, the showcases have featured some of the East Coast's best female independent artists! Check out our music and links pages for more info on these awesome rockin' femmes!

REVOLUTIONARY RECORDS MISSION

Founded & launched in 2002 by G-spot’s lead singer, Gail Silverman, Revolutionary Records functions as both an DIY Label for her band G-spot as well as an Artist collective.

The primary mission of RR is to bring together Independent artists to create unique events, showcases & promotional opportunities to bring much needed exposure to great under-the–radar talent. By partnering with fellow local artists, leveraging each other’s fan bases and working together as a team, these talented performers can help each other stand out in a cluttered and saturated marketplace. They have successfully built their reputation for featuring artists who aren’t re-touched pop princesses or radio clone bands, offering fans extraordinary music and unique artist styles showcase after showcase and successfully attracting 100’s of fans, press and sponsors.

“… be sure to check out local artists in your area. You never know what great talent has been overlooked or is yet to be discovered. At this stop there was just a whole lot of talent that will hopefully soon receive the recognition it rightfully deserves.” Women Who Rock Magazine, Veronica Dominguez October 2003

“I arrive at Downtime & am greeted by Gail Silverman, organizer of this Festival. I find a woman with bright red hair, a smile that literally goes from ear to ear & a personality that is so full of energy you can not help but share her excitement.” Dennis Halsey, BestFemaleMusicians.com, July 2003
